중학교 인문강좌에서 춤추기

  영월 동강사진축제에서 강좌 발제를 한 가지 맡은 뒤 대구로 건너가서 계성중학교에서 인문강좌를 하루 맡았다. 두 시간 남짓 이야기를 들려주고 나서 강좌를 마칠 즈음, 리한나 노래 가운데 ‘Diamonds’를 틀고서 노랫말을 하나하나 짚는다. 그러고는 노래를 다시 한 번 틀고는 춤을 춘다. 자리에서 일어나 함께 춤을 춘 아이는 없지만, 나는 마음껏 춤을 춘다. 인문강좌에서 춤을 추는 사람이 있을까 모르겠는데, 이곳 예쁜 아이들이 ‘인문’이란 언제나 ‘삶’이고, 삶이란 늘 ‘즐겁게 열어서 기쁘게 노래하고 춤추면서 웃는 하루’인 줄 느끼기를 바랐다.

  나는 춤꾼은 아니고 춤추기를 좋아하는 시골 아저씨이다. 지난 마흔 해를 사는 동안 춤추기하고 늘 동떨어졌지만, 올해부터는 아이들하고 마당에서 춤을 추며 노는 어버이로 지낸다. 그러니, 중학교에 인문강좌를 가면 중학생하고 춤을 추면서 노는 마음으로 이야기를 나누고 싶다. 여느 어른한테 이야기를 들려주는 인문강좌에 가면 여느 어른하고 춤을 추면서 노래하는 마음으로 이야기를 나누어야지. 4348.7.29.물.ㅅㄴㄹ
