며칠 앞서부터 큰아이가 콧노래를 흥얼거렸다. 무척 낯익은 노래였는데 좀처럼 어떤 노래인지 안 떠오르다가 오늘 아침에야 비로소 깨닫는다. 아, 〈메리 포핀스〉에 나오는 노래로구나. 이리하여, 토요일 아침부터 영화 〈메리 포핀스〉를 새롭게 본다. 두 아이는 영화를 보고, 나는 부엌에서 밥을 짓는다. 아름다운 노래가 흐르는 영화에 사로잡힌 두 아이는 함께 노래를 부르고 춤을 춘다. 큰아이는 영화를 다 보고 나서도 콧노래를 흥얼거린다. 영어로 된 이 노래, ‘새한테 모이를(Feed The Birds)’을 큰아이한테 또박또박 가르쳐 주어야겠다. 나부터 노랫말을 즐겁게 익히자. 4348.5.30.흙.ㅅㄴㄹ
