지난번 첫번째 이야기를 읽고 재미있어서 두번째도 선택한 책이예요.
하지만 2권은 읽을까 말까 조금 고민했었습니다.
바로 맨 뒷장에 - To be continued... 계속이라는 말때문에...
읽다가 뒷이야기도 못 읽으면 너무 섭섭했었는데, 다행이도 그 뒷편의 이야기가 이번달에 출판했더라구요.
솔직히 출판 안되더라도 읽으려했구요.
돌연 부모님의 실종으로 고아가 된 사브리나와 대프니는 렐다 할머니를 만나면서 자신과 자신의 조상에 대한 과거를 알게 됩니다.
에버에프터라 불리는 요정나라와 인간세계를 지키기 위해 그림 후손들은 계속 그들을 지키고 감시해왔던거죠.
사브리나는 자신의 부모를 찾기에 바쁜데, 렐다할머니는 자신의 부모님보다 에버에프터를 더 챙기는것 같아 속상하고 계속 할머니와 부딪힙니다.
솔직히 저도 읽으면서 사브리나의 마음을 이해하면서도 너무 자기 컨트롤을 못하는 사브리나를 보면서 불안불안하더라구요.
학교에 간 사브리나와 대프니는 학교에서 살인사건이 일어나게 되고, 점점 이상한 일들이 발생됩니다.
이번 에피소드에서는 '피리부는 사나이' 기억하세요? 그 사나이가 교장선생님이 되어 등장하고, 또 Rumpelstiltskin이라고 자신의 이름을 맞추지 않으면 아이를 가져가는 이야기(저는 알고 있는 동화인데, 동화 제목은 잘모르겠네요.)에 나오는 캐릭터가 등장합니다.
Rumpelstiltskin이 에버에프터의 경계선을 파괴하려 했습니다.
어느정도 그의 정체를 눈치채긴 했었어요.
암튼, 사브리나는 자신의 분노 때문에 Rumpelstiltskin이 가장 큰 힘을 얻게 되었다는 것을 알고 후회해요.
(그는 생물의 불안을 먹고 힘을 키우는 존재입니다.)
그리고 자신의 행동으로 인해 결국 케인아저씨가 죽게 됩니다.
(하지만 왠지 그가 다시 나타날것 같은 생각이...)
사브리나는 차밍이 준 마술 성냥으로 자신의 부모님 곁으로 가는데, 풋이 나타나 구해줍니다.
뒷편에 잠깐 등장하는 괴기스러운 소녀가 사브리나 부모를 찾게되는 열쇠가 될것 같네요.
암튼, 뒷이야기가 궁금하고 만약 옛날 동화를 많이 알고 계시는 분이라면 이 책이 더 재미있을것 같아요.
