예전에 아마존에서 책을 구입하다가 메인 화면에 뜨는것을 보고 왠지 읽고 싶은 책이 들었던 책이였습니다.
머리 셋 달린 용이 눈길을 끌기에 충분했거든요.
도서관에서 발견하자마자 집긴 했는데, 책속에 일러스트가 하나도 없어 조금은 섭섭하더군요.
책을 집필하는 엄마를 따라 첫째 한나, 둘째 자크해리, 막내 사라 에밀리는 Mehitabel 아줌마의 섬에서 여름방학을 보내게 됩니다.
그리고 섬에서 머리 셋다린 용을 발견하게 되어요.
머리셋의 용은 몸은 하나나 각각 다른 눈을 가지고 별개이지만 같은 생각과 같은 기억을 가지고 있답니다.
단지 하나가 깨면 둘은 잠을 자고 있지요.
세남매가 방문하면서 용으로부터 각각 이야기를 듣게 됩니다.
그러면서 각자 교훈을 느끼고 변해가고, 결국 마지막 비밀을 밝혀내고 섬을 떠나게 됩니다.
아이에게 소중한 추억을 줄 책이예요.
다만, 책속에 일러스트가 있으면 더 좋았을텐데.. 하는 아쉬움이있긴합니다.
