슬로피 할로우는 영화 때문에 알게된 소설이예요.
물론 영화는 이 소설 그대로가 아닌, 목없는 기사만을 채용했지만서도 말이죠.
자신의 목을 찾아 헤메는 목없는 기사...
섬찟하지만 왠지 매력적인 캐릭터지요.
주인공인 Ichabod Crane 는 학교 선생님이예요.
성실하지만 솔직히 먹는것만 밝히고 재미없는 사람이라는것을 알수 있지요.
그런 그가 마을의 가장 부자인 Van Tassel 의 딸 Katrina를 사모합니다.
솔직히 그녀를 사모하는것보다는 그녀의 재산을 사모하는거라는것이 옳겠네요.
그런 와중에 Katrina를 사모하는 Brom Bones과 Ichabod Crane 는 그녀를 두고 피할수 없는 대결을 하게 되네요^^
결국 Brom Bones의 목없는 기사 계획으로 Ichabod Crane는 Sleepy Hollow를 떠나게 됩니다.
스토리가 그리 길지 않고 내용도 흥미로워서 독해에 좋은것 같습니다.
