남의 나라 대통령이 하는 말은 다 멋져 보이는 건가. 아니면 Mr. Obama가 멋진 건가. 헷갈리지만, 어쨌거나 달라스에 날아간 Mr. Obama는 의미있는 연설을 해주었다.
세상은 거꾸로 가는 것인지, 흑인(완벽한 흑인은 아닐지라도 어쩄든 흑인)이 대통령이 되었는데도 여전히 흑인을 경찰이 그냥 죽이고 그 보복으로 지금 경찰들을 흑인이 죽이고 있고. 1960년대도 아니고 이렇게 다시금 흑백갈등이라니. 2차대전 후 만들어진 EU는 해체될 위기이고 일본은 자위대를 군사화하려고 하고 있고... 흠 써놓고 보니 상당히 돌아가고 있다... 복고풍인가.

미국 내에서도 오바마가 루이지애나나 미네소타를 가지 않고 달라스로 간 것에 대해서 비난하는 목소리가 있고, 일부 경찰들도 오바마의 행보에 대해서 고까운 눈초리를 보내는 경향이 있기는 하지만, 지금 이 순간, 이런 말이라도 하는 지도자가 있음에 좀 부러워진다. 통합과 균형을 강조해서 하나의 강한 나라를 유지하려는 리더십.
