미리 쓴 일기 때문에

옛말 새술은 새부대에 담으라 했겠다. 새술은 아이이고, 헌부대는 이몸이다. 아이에게 요구하고 들이대는 잣대라는 게 전혀 아이에게 맞는 것 혹은 요즘 아이들에게 맞지 않는 것일 수 있다는 생각. 엄마가 퇴근하기 전에 숙제만이라도 해놓으라고 이야기하는데, 대답만 예쁘게 하고, 집에 가서 보면 하나도 해놓지 않았을 적이 많다. 헌부대인 나도 안다. 숙제 말고도 얼마나 재밌는게 많은 아홉살인가?

초등 저학년은 독서가 전부다 라는 뉘앙스를 풍기는 교육서가 많아서, 짐짓 저학년에 책 많이 읽게 해 줘야 하나 보다 했지만, 실상 해당 학년이 되고 보니, 숙제하고 동생과 놀고 뭐하기에도 시간은 쪼개 쓸 건덕지가 없어서...

문고책들은 사주되, 어떤 것들은 도서관서 대출해 주되, '읽어야지! 좀 읽어라' 이런 말, 안 하게 된다. 책 읽는다고 하면, "숙제는 하고 읽어야지!" 하면서 오히려 책 읽겠다는 아이를 만류하는 상황도 종종 벌어지고 ㅠ

책 읽는 모습을 보지 못했는데, 내가 조용히 사다놓은 이 책을 읽었나보다. 어느날 나에게 다가와서

"엄마, 이 책 읽고 좀 충격이었어!"

"응??"

"엄마, 여자도 겨드랑이에 털이 나?"

 ㅋㅋ 책이야기하고 무관한 이야기로 막 가는데,,, 얼마전에 친구한테서 들은 이야기가 생각났다.

방과 후 컴퓨터를 수강하게 했더니, 아이가 집에 와서도 곧잘 컴퓨터선생님이 내 준 숙제 한다며, 컴퓨터 시작 버튼을 클릭하는 게 일상이라고. 그런데 어느날 검색창을 보다가 전에 검색한 단어(초등2학년 아들이 검색한 단어들)에 "섹스'가 있었다고!

그래서 나도 울집 컴퓨터 네이버 검색창에 해보니까,

"탕수육, 함박스테이크, 치즈돈가스..."

아 굶주린 초2남 되시겠다. ㅋㅋ 

이름 탓 한다는 것, 단식을 한다는 것,

한달에 한번 정도, 팀내 각 두명 부서 전체에서 여덟명 정도의 인원이 회장님과 식사를 하는 차례가 돌아온다. 칠순이 넘으신 회장님이 어떤 아이템에 꽂히시면 싫어도 좋아도 식사 자리에서 30분 이상 경청해야 한다. 살찌기 고개를 끄덕끄덕 리엑션해 주어야 하고 ㅠ

오늘은 어떤 팀에서 교재 제목이 교재의 내용하고 맞지가 않는다는 소비자 의견이 있노라고 이야기하니, 회장님 말씀이

"십수년전 현대자동차가 소나타를 출시할 때, 이름에 대해서 반대 의견이 얼마나 많았는 줄 아세요?"

속으로 '소나타'가 왜 문제가 될까? 클래식하고 예술적인데,,' 했지만,,, 말씀인즉,, 이름 탓에 1985년에는 ‘소(牛)나 타는 차’라는 놀림을 받았지만,  지금은 현대자동차의 효자 상품이라는 말씀.

이름 탓하지 말라신다.

'소나티네'는 그럼 인간은 티 안 내고, 소만 티내는 것,,, 인가 라는 딴 생각을 하며 들었지만, 간만에 재밌는 말씀이라, 기록하고 싶었다.

다이어트를 절실히 생각(물론,, 생각만,,절실간절절)하게 하는 계절이 돌아온다. 주말에 아이 친구들 엄마 둘과 그녀들의 아이들과 캐리비안 베이에 가기로 했다. 나는 본래 기질적으로 활동가 스타일이 아니다. 사람들 만나는 것을 좋아한다거나, 롤러스케이트라던지 보드 라던지, 공으로 하는 스쿼시나 테니스 라던지 몸으로 하는 활동에는 취미가 하나도 없을 뿐더러, (자전거 타기만 빼고, 요건 잘 타.) 전시회나 체험전 물놀이장, 놀이 공원 같은 데 단체로 다니거나 기회가 닿아 몇번 가긴 갔어도 그게 좋아서 즐겨서 하는 건 아니었다.  

캐리비안 베이도 그렇다. 기어다니던 신생아 시절을 벗어나 아이들이 유아되는 시점부터 몇번 가게는 되었어도, 니들 치닥거리하느라 따라온 것이지 나 놀러 온거 아니다 하는 복장(반바지에 후드점퍼 차림으로 온탕냉탕, 유수풀 다 들어감...)으로..

그런데,,, 엄마들과 간다 하니,,, 같은 반바지 후드점퍼 차림라도 좀 의식된다. 관리 들어가야지 싶어.. 

요전 날 읽은

   에서 보니까, 적게 먹고 몸을 가볍게 만드는 것은 일종의 철학이고 지혜다. 싶고 건강한 몸을 만드는 것은 예술 작품 만드는 일만큼 가치가 있다 싶다. 내 상황에서는 굉장히 요원한 일이긴 하다. 그러나 계속 부르짖고 생각하고 마음을 가다듬다 보면 실천하고 있을지도 몰라... 다음과 같은 사항들을....참고로, 살 빼기 위한 단식은 도미니크 여사님도 추천하지 않으신다. 건강을 위해서래~ 하지만,,, 현실은...

단식의 방법

기간 

단식은 한 번에 몇 주씩 길게 하는 것보다는 짧게 여러 번 하는 것이 신체적으로나 정신적으로 부담이 적다. 실제로 단식은 자기 자신을 힘들게 만드는 하나의 수련이다. 처음에는 반나절만 단식하는 것으로 시작하다가 24시간, 48시간, 일주일로 늘려 가자. 오래 단식하고 싶을 경우(최대 20일)에는 식이요법 전문가나 영양 전문가와 상의한 뒤에 해야 한다. 한번에 오래 하는 것보다 일주일에 하루, 혹은 한 달 중에 이틀을 연속해서 하는 짧은 단식을 생활의 일부로 만드는 게 낫다.

시작 

첫날 자신과의 싸움을 이겨내면 앞으로 치를 싸움에도 자신감이 생긴다. 단식이 끝나면 뭘 먹을지 같은 생각은 하지 말자. 음식물을 생각하는 것만으로도 허기가 생길 수 있다. 그러므로 음식이 아닌 다른 생각을 하도록 노력하자. 몸이 날씬해져서 예쁜 옷을 입을 것을 생각하고, 몸이 가볍고 유연해져서 음직임이 더 자유로워질 것을 생각하고, 이런저런 잔병이 사라질 것을 생각하자.

도중

단식을 시작할 때는 변비를 위한 식물성 완화제를 먼저 먹자. 식물성 완화제는 내성이 생기지 않으며, 몸속이 청소되는 효과를 실감할 수 있게 해준다. 낮 12시쯤 기운이 좀 떨어진다 싶으면 차가운 물로 샤워를 하고 마사지를 하자. 배가 고프면 지금 몸에 쌓인 지방으로 살고 있음을 스스로에게 상기시키자. 그리고 하루에 세 시간씩 걷자. 이 말에 이렇게 생각할 사람도 있을 것이다. ‘속이 텅 비었는데 하루에 세 시간이나 걸을 힘이 어디 있어?’ 아니, 있다. 위를 몇 시간 쉬게 하는 것만으로 힘이 얼마나 절약되는지 알게 되면 분명히 깜짝 놀랄 것이다. 물론 처음에는 좀 힘들겠지만 스스로 다짐한 것을 잊지 말자. 첫날은 15분, 둘째 날은 30분, 셋째 날은 1시간씩 걷는 식으로 시간을 차차 늘리면 된다.

침체 

기운이 빠진다 싶으면 가능한 모든 방법을 동원해 자기 자신에게 활력을 불어넣자. 책을 읽고, 명상을 하고, 음악을 듣자. 기운이 없다고 누워만 있으면 안 된다. 부지런히 움직일수록 활력이 생긴다. 그리고 단식하는 동안에는 물을 많이 마시자. 물은 지방 조직의 독소를 제거해준다. 물을 마시다 보면 식욕이 점차 사라진다. 반면 물이 아닌 과일 주스를 마시면 위가 자극 받아서 음식물을 요구하게 된다.

종료

단식을 막 끝낸 시점은 단식을 하는 동안만큼이나 중요하다. 예전 식습관으로 돌아가지 말자. 갑자기 예전처럼 먹는 것을 특히 금물이다. 단식이 끝난 첫째 날 낮에는 과일을 물에 갈아서 먹고, 저녁에는 과일만 갈아먹자. 둘째날에는 낮에 과일을 먹고, 저녁에는 요구르트와 셀러드를 먹으면 된다. 셋째 날에는 통밀빵 한 조각에 샐러드나 수프를 곁들여 먹는 식으로 곡물이나 채소를 조금 먹는다. 최대한 많이 씹고 천천히 먹자. 처음 몇 끼는 몇 입만 먹어도 충분하다. 넷째날 정도부터는 평상시대로 먹어도 좋다.
