이런 유명한 책을 이제서야 읽었다. 1949년에 쓰여졌지만 시대를 초월하는 힘이 있다. Big Brother, Brotherhood, thought police, newspeak, ingsoc, double think 등
권력욕구에 대한 묘사, 인간성이 과연 무엇인지, 무엇을 인간을 인간답게 만드는지, 인간의 약점이 무엇인지...정말 끔찍하고도 사실주의적이다. 결국 power is not a mean, it is an end. One makes the revolution in order to establish dictatorship. Power is inflicting pain and humiliation.
War is Peace
