간단히 정리하자만 이 책은 저자가 NEw Yorker에서 근무할 때 쓴 기사들을 묶어놓은 책이다...그냥 이렇게 설명했으면 덜 기대하고 봤을 텐데 서문에는 다른 사람의 생각을 알고 싶어서 ' someone else's head' 썼다고 거창?하게 적었다.
확실히 저자는 매우 논리적이고 자료조사형 기자인것 같다...그리고 관심있는 분야가 명확하다.. 저자의 다른 책들..tipping point와 blink에서 알수 잇지만 심리학적인 요인에 관심이 많다...인간에 관심이 많다고 해야하나?
책에서 엮은 기사들 중에서 케찹에 대한 이야기, 그리고 3부 내용들 대부분이 흥미로웠다. 특히 좋은 교사의 조건과 채용과정, 프로파일링에 대한 불신 등이 흥미로웠다. 그리고 LAte Bloomers에 SC가 잠깐 소개된다..
솔직히 지금까지 작가의 책 중에서 제일 기대에 못미친 것 같다.
