The story becomes more interesting...the story itself is really very deep...about consciousness(or dust)
how humans are humans...Eve...serpent...
The second book mostly deals with Will and Lyra...Lord Asriel and Mrs. Coulter's role is minimum..both preparing for war...setting up armies..
The last part was really exciting about Will and his father
I'm really looking forward to the last of the trilogy
