* Reading Note 160421

<The Dream Tree> stars ; ★★★, library book

The curious caterpillar remind me of Kurt Gödel. "Why?, why?"

This story is made by Diogenes, or the followers of Diogenes. We can say something. but we can't say all. There is something we could know by feeling or intuition. ; We can't say all but it is not true that we can say nothing.

Elder sister said what would happen. But caterpillar can't understand.

We don't know to be able to say or not in advance.

"Someday you'll know" - Not correct! "Someday you would know" This sentence is correct.

* Underlining

p4 Sometimes she just wondered about wondering. She was a wonderful wonderer!

p16 "I will simply ask a butterfly, what it's like to be a butterfly. Surely that will put an end to my wondering."/p20 "Someday you'll know, Patti. Someday you'll know."/p23 ... tell all the caterpillars exactly what it felt like to be a butterfly./p26 "I know I should go tell the others, but how can I tell them? How would they ever understand?"/p28 "... I must tell you this day. Someday, little caterpillar, you'll know"

* 영작 실패 ; 제대로 영작한 것인지

We don't know to be able to say or not in advance. ; 우리는 무엇을 말할 수 있고 또는 말할 수 없는지 미리 알 수 없다.

it is not true that we can say nothing. ; 아무 것도 말할 수 없는 것은 아니다.
