I don't know a lesson from this story. All story don't give us the lesson. In my opinion, some story tell us only the fact of ours.
It is prejudice in this story, isn't it? Giants are 'the others'. ; The tagrag, the orient, the colored races, the woman (or the 3rd sex) and etc. Giants are thought to be ugly, mean, stupid.
This is a kind of cruel fairy tale (adult fairy tale?) like mother goose.
Today is 'The Assembly Election Day'. Some people consider other people as giants voting.
