하필 댄스발표회 전날에 다리를 다치고, 퍼레이드의 기수로 나서는 날엔 하필 비가 오고, 학급에서 사진을 찍는 날엔 노란 원피스에 물감을 쏟는 아주 운이 나쁘나고 여기는 여자아이가 있다. 그래도 생일날에는 최고의 행운의 날이 될 거라면 기대만발이었다. 그런 친구에게 하나하나씩 다가오는 비보들..   우울한 생일이 될 줄 알았던 그날! 아이는 자기를 기쁘게 해 주는 가족들의 의미를 깨닫고, I was sure my luck would change. 하는 게 세상일임을 알게 된다.

 

책 속에서 눈보라가 몰아치는 기상 악화로 정전이 되버린 집안에서 엄마가 아이들에게 무서운 이야기를 들려 주는 부분이 나오는데, 무서운 이야기에 집착하는 우리 아이는 또,,, 그 이야기 내용이 뭐냐며 나에게 집요하게 묻는다. 엄마가 그것까진 모른다고!!! 스토리는 나와 있질 않아서 ^^;;;;

라임을 살린 재밌는 스토리이다.

'콩과 당근과 포도'를 먹느니, 영어 발음이 그와 유사한 '벌, 앵무새, 유인원'을 먹겠다는 아이. 정말 어마어마하지 않은가..!

오직 스파게티만을 좋아하는 이 까탈스러운 아이가 결국 '콩과 당근과 포도'를 먹게 되는 이야기를 재밌게 엮었다.
