「어떤 미소」 는 매력적인 유부남과의 이루어질 수 없는 사랑을 겪은 뒤 성숙해 가는 과정을 그린 젊은 여성의 이야기이다. 1958년 장 네귈레스코 감독에 의해 영화화되기도 했다. 영화 보다도 더 많이 알려진 이 곡 <A certain smile> 을 들으며 책을 읽어본다.
