손에 넣을 수 없으며 무엇인지 모를 때에만 우리 욕망의 가장 소중한 대상은 가치를 갖는다. 우리가 가치를 두는 것은 대상 자체보다는 움직임이다. 계속된 움직임이 우리를 살아있도록 한다. 어떤 이들은 자신의 분야에서 완벽한 성공을 거두지 않기 위해 노력한다. 자신의 미래가 사라지지 않고 계속해서 남아 있도록 하기 위해서다.
