오늘 소개할 미술관은 오스트리아 빈(Wien)에 위치한 Kunsthalle Wien이다.
<쿤스트할레 빈>은 국제 현대 미술을 전시하는 곳으로, 작업장과 실험실, 포럼을 겸한 다양한 예술 공간이다. 본래 있던 공간(Karlsplatz)과 더불어 2001년 새 공간(Museumsquartier: 약칭하여 MQ로도 불리며, 쿤스트할레 빈 외에 다양한 미술관들이 밀집해 있는 박물관 컴플렉스이다. 더 자세한 내용은 링크를 참조: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museumsquartier)을 마련해서, 현재는 모두 두 군데에 전시 공간을 갖고 있다.

오스트리아를 방문할 예정인 1월 말~2월 초의 일정으로는 아래의 전시를 감상할 수 있다. 역시 1989년 베를린 장벽의 붕괴를 기념하는 전시의 일환으로, 소개글의 일부를 옮겨보면 다음과 같다:
The exhibition investigates the metaphors connected with the collapse of the bipolar division of the world into East and West and the political upheaval, metaphors that are more than ever of relevance for a wide variety of different spheres of life.
꽤 기대되는 전시인데, Museumsquartier의 제1홀에서 전시된다.
