Ben bends back down in front of Javier. "We have the cool-est job ever. We get to live our whole lives on this ship." Benwaves his arm. "Traveling through space. Did you see how awe-some my new home is?" Javier nods. He‘s right. I guess it is better than dying on Earth. But Ben‘spark still won‘t have the smell of the desert flowers after therain. The massive screen overhead might simulate the day andnight sky, but it won‘t have the crack of a lightning strike orrumble of thunder. His view into the darkness of space is emptycompared to the orange and reds of the Sangre de Cristo Moun-tains back home. - P32

If I have to be awake for eons, Ben just en-sured I‘ll have his favorite stories to listen to. I might be nuts bythe time we arrive to Sagan, but I‘ll be the best kind of crazystoryteller known to humanity. - P55
"A world withoutstory is lost." - P58
