2013년 1학기 강의계획서 (매주 화요일 7~9교시)

푸코와 통치성
II. 강의 목표
이 세미나에서는 통치(gouvernement) 내지 통치성(gouvernementalité)의 문제를 중심으로 후기 푸코 사상을 연구해보려고 한다. 잘 알려져 있다시피 푸코는 1970년부터 콜레주 드 프랑스에 재직하면서, 안식년인 1976-1977년을 제외하고 1년에 한 차례 대중들을 상대로 공개 강의를 진행했다. 이 강의를 위해 푸코 자신이 작성한 강의록은 남아 있지 않지만, 청중들의 녹음자료를 바탕으로 편집자들이 재구성해낸 강의록이 1997년부터 출간되면서 푸코 연구는 새로운 국면에 접어들고 있다. 특히 감시와 처벌과 지식의 의지 출간 직후 푸코가 콜레주 드 프랑스에서 강의했던 “사회를 보호해야 한다”(1975-76), 안전, 영토, 인구(1977-78), 생명정치의 탄생(1978-79) 같은 강의록들은 복지국가의 위기 및 신자유주의의 도래에 관한 정교한 분석을 담고 있어서 광범위한 인문사회과학 분야 연구자들의 큰 관심을 끌고 있다. 이 세미나에서는 이 세 권의 콜레주 드 프랑스 강의록을 중심으로 푸코 사상에서 통치성 이론의 의의를 살펴보려고 한다.

V. 수강자 참고 사항
1. 처음 2주는 강사가 수업 전체의 내용을 소개한 뒤 3주차부터는 수강생들의 발제와 토론을 통해 수업을 진행한다.
수강생들은 각자 수업 일정에 따라 발제를 맡고 발표 및 토론 준비를 한다.
수강생들은 3 차례 1쪽짜리 미니 페이퍼를 제출해야 하며, 기말 페이퍼를 제출해야 한다.
2. 참고문헌에 대한 자세한 활용 방법은 첫 수업시간에 따로 제시될 것이다.
3. 평가는 다음과 같이 이루어진다.
