Ever since reading Katherine Applegate's book "Odder," I've been quitely devloping a love for sea otters.
Sea otters are aquatic creatures that spend most of their lives in the water. They like to float on their backs and sometimes use kelp, which is a type of big seeweed with a long stem, to hold them in place when they sleep.
People often call them the 'queens of play' because they love to have fun, just like I read in the book "Odder."
I also remember them from "Wild Robot" by Peter Brown, where they curious and turned on the power of Roz.
One of the coolest things about sea otters is how they eat shellfish. They put a stone on their belly and use it to crack open the shells. It's pretty clever and makes them even more interesting!
