엄마, 난 이 옷이 좋아요-색종이로 한복접기

여러가지 옷을 소재로 해서 구성한 독특한 느낌의 책이죠..

품모임에서 했던 활동인데 색종이로 책에 나오는
한복접기를 해봤어요..

접기가 아주 간단해서 하은이도 거들어 주어서
함께 만들었는데 다 만들고나니 색감이 이쁜게
그럴싸~ 하죠..



접기한 후에 하은이가 얼굴도 만들어야 한다고 해서
그려서 붙였네요..^^

이 활동한 후 우리나라 고유의복을 '한복'이라고 한다는 것과 동정이니 깃이니 고름이니 하는 단어를 함께
익혔답니다.

이미 귀에 익숙한지라 친숙하게 읽을수 있는 책인 것 같아요..
책읽고 간단한 활용하면 더 좋겠죠..^^

<거미만들기>
준비물-거미도안(+click+), 빨대, 동전, 실

1. 거미그림(파일첨부)을 2장 인쇄해서 오린다.
2. 앞면이 될 거미그림의 뒤쪽에 빨대를 짧게 잘라서 아래쪽으로 벌어지도록 테잎으로 붙힌다.
3. 빨대의 벌어진 사이에 동전을 테잎으로 붙힌다.
4. 빨대사이로 실을 통과시킨후 양쪽으로 길게 남긴다.
5. 밑면이 될 거미를 앞면에 맞추어 붙히면 완성.

<거미에 관한 storytelling>

I saw it on the wall.

What does it do?
It was spinning its web.

Think about the spider's legs.
how many legs do they have?
Mmm, six?

No, try agian.
A-ha, eight legs.

That's it. They have eight legs.

Six legs on the insect and eight legs on the spider.

Therefore, Spiders are not insects.
Insects have six legs.

Usually insects have three body parts and spiders have only two body parts.

And they have strong jaws.

And insects have 2 antennas, but spiders have no antennas.


Now, let's playing spider game with mom.

New Jersey의 Newark 태생의 흑인작가로서
매우 드물게 미국 그림책계에서 흑인으로 당당히 성공한
대표적인 작가로 꼽히는 Donald Crews.
New York의 Cooper Union College에서 그림공부를 했으며,
이후 Freight Train(1979), Truck(1981)이 Caldecott Honor Book으로 선정되는 등
20여 편의 책을 쓰고 있다.
그가 쓴 그림책은 글을 최대한으로 줄이고 그림을 단순화 시켜 효과를 극대화하는게 특징이다.
글이 별로 없는만큼 아이에게 보여주는 이가 말을 많이 해야하는 부담감도 있지만
이것은 동시에 아이의 상상력을 무한대로 넗혀주려는 그의 배려가 아닐런지..

그냥 하나, 둘..식으로 단순하게 헤아리는 것이 아니라
까만 바둑알 같은 동그라미를 이용하여 각각의 갯수로 무엇을 만들 수 있는가를 묻는
다소 응용력을 요하는 책입니다.
책을 읽은후,
그 밖의 만들 수 있는 모양이 무엇이 있을까를 엄마와 함께 생각하면서 다양하게 활용할 수 있는 책입니다.
그림이 복잡하거나 색채가 현란하지 않으면서도 전달할 메시지를 간명한 그림속에서 충분히 표현해 주고 있습니다.
너무 간단해서 아이가 좋아할 것 같지 않지만 간단한 그림이어서 더 인상적인가 봅니다.
봐야할 것만 보니까요..
간단한 것이 오히려 인상적일 수 있다는 사실을 인식케 만드는 책입니다..
아이의 상상력을 자극하기에 충분하구요..
그 밖에 counting과 관련한 다양한 activity를 통해서 지루해 질 수 있는 숫자인지를 재미있게 이끌어 보세요..

까만 점 열 개로 무엇을 할 수 있을까요?


1 One dot can make a sun
or a moon when day is don.
점 하나는 태양이나 날이 저물면 뜨는 달이 될 수 있어요.


2 Two dots can make the eyes of a fox
or the eyes of keys that open locks.
점 두 개는 여우 눈이나 자물쇠를 여는 열쇠의 구멍이 될 수 있어요.

3 Three dots can make a snowman's face
or beads for stringing on a lace.
점 세 개는 눈사람 얼굴이나 실에 꿰는 구슬이 될 수 있어요.

4 Four dots can make seeds from which flowers grow
or the knobs on a radio
