14-16정말 그대로 되었다. 언약궤를 멘 제사장들이 앞장선 가운데백성은 요단 강을 건너기 위해 장막을 떠났다. 제사장들이 요단 강에이르러 그 발이 물가에 닿자(요단강은 추수철이면 내내 강둑에 물이 넘쳤다) 흘러내리던 물이 멈췄다. 멀리 사르단 근처의 아담에 물이 가득 고인 것이다. 저만치 아라바 바다소금 바다까지 강이 말랐다. 그래서 백성은 여리고 쪽으로 건너갔다.  - P56
