타협이 가능하다.

이런 나의 단호한 의지가

정말 자랑스럽다고

물론 삐루 한 잔과 함께 들으면 

더 좋겠지만 

그 날은 아직 사흘 더 남았다.

빨리 설거지해야 할 일거리들이 많은데 

영 마음이 동하지 않아

오후 내내 해찰부리고 있다.

회사 주변을 천천히 산책하며

커피도 한 잔마시고

정신없이 일하는 후배들 현장도

기웃거리다가 돌아와 다시 자리에 앉았다.

이젠 정말 쌓여진

그릇들을 정갈하게 부실 시간인데

...

하기가 싫다.

The Weight - The Band

1968년 부터 한 6년 동안 당대 최고의 밴드였던 The Band.

이들이 밴드 해산을 앞두고 1978년 11월 26일 샌프란시스코에서 

고별 공연을 열었다. 공연 명은 <The Last Waltz>...

이 공연을 마틴 스콜세이지 감독이 촬영해 음악 다큐멘터리로 만들었다.

그 다큐멘터리 타이틀도 역시 <The Last Waltz>.

그 다큐멘터리에서 자신들의 최고 히트 넘버 <The Weight>를 부르는

이 공연에 참여한 가수와 밴드의 이름만으로 팝의 창세기 1장을 읽는 것 같다.

에릭 클랩튼,  머디 워터스, 밴 모리슨, 닐 영, 조니 미첼, 닐 다이아몬드, 밥 딜런, 로니 홋킨스...

이들이 함께 부른 밥 딜런의 I shall be released.

빛바랜 고대 벽화를 실사로 보는 것 같다.

세월이 흘러 저 중에 어떤 이들은 죽고 

누군가는 살아 남아 노벨 문학상을 받았다.

그 끝이 어찌됐든 

이렇게 박제된 저 순간이

그들의 삶속에서 반짝였던 한 순간이었을 것이라  믿고 싶다.
