구약에서 역사서는 두 개인데, 하나는 신명기 역사서이고 또 하나는역대기 역사서입니다. 두 개의 역사서가 필요한 이유는 역사서를 쓴목적과 관점이 다르기 때문입니다. 신명기 역사서는 이스라엘이 바벨론에 포로로 끌려갔을 때, 즉 하나님이 심판의 매를 드신 상황에서 쓰였습니다. 무엇을 해명하고자 한 것입니까? 하나님의 언약 백성 이스라엘이 하나님께 심판의 매를 맞을 수밖에 없는 이유를 설명하고자 했습니다. 그래서 신명기 역사서에는 하나님께 심판받을 수밖에 없었던이스라엘의 죄가 많이 열거되어 있습니다.
