The psalmist desires God as a deer pants for water. He is in tears as peoplemock him and he remembers how he used to be under God‘s protection. - P23

we forget that our souls hunger for the living God. Christians, we weregiven the ability to pant and hunger so that we would never forget thatwe do not live on physical bread alone. Let us remember this truth, and let us hunger for Him. - P25
Father, I am so forgetful of my daily need of You. I often believe in the lie thatI can get by with yesterday‘s manna, while my spirit pants for living water. Remind me again of my need for You. In Jesus‘ name, amen. - P25
