덧. 여담이지만, 아래는 티라노사우르스의 개체 수를 추정한 최신 사이언스 논문. '어느 시점이든 약 2만 마리가 서식했으며, 멸종하기까지 생존한 개체 수를 모두 합치면 25억 마리에 이르렀을 것'이라고... (We estimate that its abundance at any one time was ~20,000 individuals, that it persisted for ~127,000 generations, and that the total number of T. rex that ever lived was ~2.5 billion individuals.)
