[오늘의 한문장] 에브리데이 스터디 바이블 (개역개정)

1:1 하박국은 여호야김이 다스리던 당시 유다에 살았다(왕하23:36-24:5). 그는 니느웨(앗수르의 수도)가 멸망한 주전 612년에서 바벨론이 유다를 침략한 588년 사이에 예언자로 사역했다. 앗수르가 혼란에 빠진 가운데 바벨론은 세계적인 강대국이 되었다.
이 책은 다음과 같이 질문한 예언자와 하나님의 대화를 기록한다.
"하나님은 왜 악을 마주하고도 무관심하신 듯 보이는가?" "왜 악한 사람이 벌 받지 않는 것 같은가?" 하나님의 말씀을 사람들에게전하는 다른 예언서들과는 달리, 하박국서는 사람의 질문을 하나님께 가져간다. - P1668

3:2 하박국은 하나님이 유다 백성을 징계하실 것이며, 그 일은 즐거운 경험이 아님을 알았다. 그러나 하박국은 저항하는 대신 하나님의 뜻을 받아들이고 도움과 자비를 구했다. 하박국은 징계를 피하려 하지 않고, 유다가 교훈을 얻어야 한다는 진실을 받아들였다.
하나님은 여전히 그분의 자녀를 돌아오게 하시려고 사랑으로 징계하신다(히 12:5-6). 그분은 비본질적인 것을 제거하시고, 우리가하나님께 신실해야 하는 주된 목적에 다시 집중하게 하신다. 하나님의 초점을 기쁘게 받아들이고, 변화할 힘을 달라고 간구하라. - P1673

스바냐서를 읽으면서 심판의 말씀에 귀를 기울이라. 하나님은 죄를 가볍게 여기지 않으신다. 죄로 인해 형벌을받을 것이다. 그러나 소망의 말에서 격려를 받으라. 우리 하나님이 다스리시고 백성을 구하실 것이다. 살아 계신주님을 겸손히 예배하며 그분께 순종하는 신실한 남은 자가 되기로 결단하라. - P1675

1:1 스바냐는 유다의 요시야왕 시대(주전 640-609년)에 예언했다. 요시야는 하나님을 따랐고, 그가 다스리는 동안 성전에서 율법책이 발견되었다. 요시야는 율법책을 낭독했고 유다의 종교 부흥을 일으켰다.(왕하 22:1-23:25). 스바냐는 백성이 죄에서 돌이키지 않으면 심판을 받을 것이라 경고함으로써 부흥의 불길이 타오르게 했다. 이 위대한 부흥은 나라가 하나님께 돌아오게 했다. 그러나 우상 숭배를 완전히 없애지는 못했고 이 부흥은 잠시 지속되었다. 요시야가 죽고 몇 년이 안 되어 유다는 바벨론의 침략을 받고, 이스라엘이 포로가 되어 1차로 끌려갔다. 지 - P1677

흔히 우리는 자신이 하나님의 택함과 사랑을 받는 자이므로 하나님께 특별대우를 받을 것이라 여긴다. 자연스러운 기대이기는 하다. 그분을 따르는 제자가 되었으니 이제 막다른 골목을 만나거나, 진창길로 접어들거나, 목적지가 다른 여행자들에게서 끔찍한 일을 당하는 일 따위는 없을 것이라 기대한다. 이해 못할 바는 아니다.  - P785

그러나 하나님을 따르는 제자들이라고 해서 인생길에서 특별대접을 받는 것은 아니다. 이 사실은 늘 우리를 놀라게 한다. 그런데더욱 놀라운 사실은 그러한 순간에 우리의 길동무가 되어 주는 이들을 ‘성경‘ 속에서 만날 수 있다는 것이다.
그 반가운 길동무 중 하나가 바로 예언자 하박국이다.  - P785

예언자들이하는 일의 대부분은 ‘우리‘에게 하나님의 말씀을 전해 주는 것이다.
그들은 우리에게 하나님의 심판과 구원, 도전과 위로의 말씀을 들으라고 촉구하는 설교자들이다. 그들은 우리가 하나님을 마음대로 상상하지 못하도록, 진짜 하나님을 알려 준다.  - P785

하나님의 말씀에 귀기울이라고 외치는 예언자들은 세련된 완곡어법을 사용하는 자들이아니라, 가히 우리 면상에 주먹을 날리는 식으로 설교하는 이들이다 - P785

하박국을 자극시켰던 것은 주전 7세기의 국제 정세였다. 그는 하나님께서 강력한 바빌론 군대를 들어서 하나님의 백성을 심판하실 예정인 것을 알게 되었다. 아니, 하나님을 모르는 이방 민족을 들어 하나님을 섬기는 경건한 민족을 벌하시겠다니! 하박국은 도저히 이해할 수 없어서, 즉시 하나님께 따졌다.  - P786

하나님께서 당신의 일을 제대로 하고 계신 것 같지 않다는 자신의 생각을 있는 그대로 털어놓았다. 그날 이후, 단 하루도 거르지 않고 누군가는 하박국처럼 당혹감에 사로잡혀 다음과 같은 말을 내뱉었다. "하나님, 도무지 이해가 되지 않습니다!" - P786

그는 기다린다. 그리고 귀 기울여 듣는다. 그렇게 기다리고 듣는 가운데, 그리고 그 내용으로 기도하는 가운데, 어느새 그는 하나님의 주권이라는 보다 큰 세상을 발견하고, 그 세상의 주민으로 살아가게 된다. 그자리에서 비로소 그는, 하나님을 믿는 삶,
하나님을 한결같이 신뢰하는 삶이야말로 충만한 삶이요 유일하고참된 삶임을 마침내 깨닫게 된다. - P787

하박국은 우리와 출발점이 같았다. 그 역시 우리처럼 혼란에 빠져 있었고 불평했으며, 심지어 하나님을 고발하기도 했다. 그러나 그는그 자리에 머물지 않았다. 그는 더 나아갔다. 결국 그는, 하나님을 사랑하는 자들에게는 삶 속의 모든 것들이 협력하여 선을 이루어 내는,
그런 세상에 도달하게 되었다. 우리를 길동무로 데리고서 말이다. - P788

예언자들은 이런 생각을 하는 우리에게 일갈한다. "그렇지 않다.
당신이 하는 모든 행동, 모든 생각, 모든 느낌이 하나님과 관련이 있다. 당신의 모든 인간관계가 하나님과 관련되어 있다." 우리는 모든것이 상관관계를 맺고 있는 세상에 살고 있으며, 그 관계들 안에서어떤 결과가 생겨난다. 그리고 그 결과들은 하나님에게서 최종 마무리된다. 이것을 가리키는 성경의 용어가 바로 최후의 심판 날이다. - P800

Jacob leaves Canaan with his entire family and all his possessions, withno intention of returning any time soon.  - P68

He takes a true step of faith,

There may be times when wewill need to make significant changes to our lives for very practicalreasons like financial difficulty or an illness in the family.  - P68

While sucha change might feel like an unwanted interruption or an inconvenientdetour, we must remember that God is not in a rush to fulfill His plansfor us.  - P68

He has a purpose for every circumstance, so let us patiently keepstep with Him and continue walking with Him. - P68

Pharaoh and his attendants are pleased to welcome Jacob‘s family withthe best that Egypt offers.  - P64

Although they are foreigners, Pharaoh hasseen the great blessings that Joseph has brought to the people of Egyptand he naturally expects that Joseph‘s family will be a blessing too.

When the people of God bring peace and prosperity to the places wherewe sojourn, we will find that those around us will be more welcomingtoward the church and our faith.  - P64

His extravagant love reflects the heart of 
our Father, who not only provides us with everythingwe need but gives us blessing upon blessing out of His abundant affec-tion.  - P64

This is the kind of love we should aim to show others, especiallyfellow believers.  - P64

When we go out of our way to love the people of God,
we demonstrate to the world that we are truly Jesus‘ disciples. - P64
