이 책은 가격이 만만치가 않고.. 환율까지 올라서 덜컥 사기가 그래서 서점에 가서 직접 확인해보고 샀습니다. 유명한 책이 아니어서 그런지 대형 서점에도 잘 없더라고요. 이 책(lesson planner)은 가르치는 교사용이고 학생용은 student’s book이라고 훨씬 저렴한 책이 있네요. 

둘 중에 뭘사야할지 내용은 어떤지 궁금하실 분을 위해 간단히 리뷰해 볼게요. 
학생용 책은 펼쳐보기라도 있어서 대략 짐작은 가지만 선생용 책은 그런 것도 없고 정말 답답하더라고요.
이 책도 grammar in use 못지않게 좋은데 서점가도 잘 없고 목차도 없고.. 대체 어떻게 구매하라는 것인지 말예요.

제가 2권부터 4권까지 전부 가지고 있으니 일단 각권의 목차부터 써볼게요. 참고하시라고요.

----->괄호 쳐 놓고 use, form, meanig 이렇게 나오는데요.
           책 이름이 dimensions 인 이유가 문법의 사용법, 모양새, 뜻 3가지 다양한 차원으로 접근해서 
           영어를 보다 자연스럽고 쉽게 익히게 한다.. 뭐 이런 취지로 나오는 거 같아요.
           use하고 form은 큰 차이는 없고요. 예문하고 다양한 변형 방법 등이 나오고요.
           meaning의 경우 왜 그렇게 쓰는지랑 뉘앙의 차이 등을
           따로 설명해주기 때문에 도움이 되는 것 같아요. 
          다음부터는 구체적인 항목은 생략하고 괄호안에 간단히 적을게요. 너무 많네요...

학생용 책과의 차이점이라면.. 일단 학생용 책은 exercise의 답이 없어요. 그리고 책이 A4용지 크기에 잡지책 같은 재질의 종이에 컬러로 인쇄 되어있어서 grammar in use 책보다 훨씬 덜 지루해 보입니다. 구성은 각 unit에서 다루고자 하는 목표(관계부사, 전치사구)에 따라 제목도 그렇게 만들어져 있고 내용도 문법적인 형식에 따라 나누어져 있어요. 그래도 예문이 다양하고 왜 그런지에 대해서 사소한 뉘앙스의 차이에 대해서 설명해주기 때문에 이해에 크게 도움을 받을 수가 있어요.

lesson planner는 일단 크기가 학생용 책보다 조금 크고요. 스프링 제본 방식이고 책장이 얇은데 비해 책은 학생용 책보다 조금 더 두껍습니다. 뒤에 부가적인 설명이 더 나와서 그런 것 같아요. 책을 볼 때는 스프링이 위로 오도록 해서 위로 넘기는 책처럼 봐야 합니다. 다행히 책 뒤에 두꺼운 표지가 있어서 무릎에 올려놓고 봐도 많이 불편하지 않아요. 원래 학생용 교재를 폈을 때 왼쪽 페이지 내용, 오른쪽 페이지 내용이 lesson planner의 한페이지에 나옵니다. 축소복사 한 것처럼 두 페이지가 한페이지에 옆으로 나와요. 그래서 스프링이 위로 오도록 놓고 보셔야 해요. 이렇게 학생용 책의 두 페이지 내용이 선생용 책 한페이지에 담기고 그 바로 옆 페이지에 그에 대한 부가적인 설명이나 답이 나오는 방식으로 되어있어요. 책을 펴서 옆으로 놓으면 위쪽에 원래 학생용 책의 내용이 담겨 있고 아래쪽에 설명이 나오므로 책을 펴서 옆으로 놓고 봐야해요. 물론 접어놓고 봐도 되지만요. 아마도 내용과 설명을 한 눈에 볼 수 있게 하려고 이렇게 편집한 것 같아요. 책이 조금 두껍고 무거워서 들고다니기 버거울 수도, 좁은 공간에서 보기 불편할 수도 있지만 잘 편집되어 있어서 보기 편하네요^^ 학생용 책을 보면 각 Unit가 끝나고 학생과 선생님이 함께 연습해보는  <Use your English> 코너가 있고 문제가 있는데요. 이 문제에 대해서는 별도의 답이 없어요. 뭐 학생끼리 그날 배운 내용을 활용해서 대화하는 것이니 정해진 답이 없어서 그런 것 같은데 그래도 예시라도 좀 써주었으면 예문이 더 다양해지고 좋았을 것 같다는 아쉬움이 있긴 해요. 그래도 본문과 Exercise에 나오는 예문만해도 Grammar in use 보다 예문이 풍부하고 다양해서 가격대비 만족스러운 것 같아요. 내용도 어지럽게 죽 나열하는 식보다는 칸을 만들어서 왼쪽에 예문, 오른쪽에 설명 식으로 나와서 보기 편하고요.
