2. '아침식사'
현실자각타임을 갖게 하는 요소가 넘쳐나지만 그럼에도 불구하고 가능한한 많은 날.우리가 분명 추구해야만!하는 아침풍경이 아닐까...
에그모르트의 프랑스타운에서 열리는 집시축제를 떠올리게 한)지중해 바다소금을 한 숟가락 친 스크램블드에그, 하얀색 달걀과 안이 다르고 아름다운 갈색 달걀, 에피오티아사 원두커피, 커피 타는 물은 에비앙, 커피크림은 북서태평양 스캐짓 강 계곡에서 자라는 젖소로부터, 일본의 귤로 만든 주스, 아일랜드산 버터, 스페인산 레몬잼. 을 얘기하며,

Sitting at my breakfast table I traveled the world this morning. My mind was beyond the horizon when I got up to go about another day.
Oh sure, the ingredients were a bit pricey, but it was cheaper than going out for breakfast. Above all, I set off into the dreary rainy day in a lovely mood, digesting memories that are salted away and preserved in mind and body and soul.
3. '추수감사절의 봄' (Thanksgiving spring for babycakes)
투병 중인 아내가 보고싶어하는 봄꽃을 발견하고 기뻐하는 할아버지. 아내에게 내년 봄을 미리 선물할 수 있게 되어 너무 기쁘다시는..... 그냥 이런 마음씨로 나이들어갈 수 있다면 뭘 더 바랄까.
