14 We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice sayingto me in Aramaic, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?
It is hard for you to kick against the goads.. - P128

47I will rescue you from your own people and fromthe Gentiles. I am sending you to them 18 to open theireyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from thepower of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgive-ness of sins and a place among those who are sanctifiedby faith in me.‘ - P128

20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea,
and then to the Gentiles, Ipreached that they should repent and turn to God anddemonstrate their repentance by their deeds. - P129

Paul speaks in detail about his conversion in Damascus. He describes Jesusspeaking to him from a bright light from heaven.  - P129

Jesus told Paul he was tobe appointed as a servant and witness to the Jews and Gentiles so that theymay receive forgiveness of sins and be sanctified. Paul says that it is becauseof this message that he is standing on trial. - P129
