34"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. - P104

38Then Jesus answered, "Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times! - P105

This love goes beyond mere words; it is selfless, sacrificial, and lifegiving. Jesus has shown them this love through the humble act of washing their feet and will soon demonstrate the ultimate act of love on the cross. - P106

good intentions and willpower are not enough when facing spiritual trials. We cannot follow Christ faithfully in our own strength. Like Peter, we often overestimate our ability to serve God without depending on the Holy Spirit. When we rely on our flesh, we are more vulnerable to temptation and failure. - P106

Being led by the Spirit ensures that we align our actions with God’s will and not our own impulses. - P106

Heavenly Father, I surrender my will to You. Lead me by Your Spirit so that I do not rely on my own strength but trust in Your guidance. Align my thoughts and desires with Your will, today and always. In Jesus’ name, amen. - P107

26Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish." Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.

27As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, "What you are about to do, do quickly." - P101

Judas Iscariot was physically close to Jesus, but his heart was not committed to Him. This serves as a warning not to confuse good conduct with a transformed heart. - P102

Judas has the outward appearance of a close friend, but he harbors betrayal in his heart. - P102

Judas goes out into the night that reflects the darkness of his soul. He rejects Jesus and becomes an instrument of Satan. - P102

how can we battle against spiritual forces of evil that we cannot see? Theanswer is in God‘s Word: put on the full armor of God.
One of the primary ways I have used the armor of God in my own life is intaking control of my thoughts.  - P103

sin can subtly draw you away from Jesus. - P102
