[오늘의 한문장] [큰글자] 메시지 예언서

하나님께서 호세아에게 하신 첫 말씀은 이러하다.
"너는 창녀 하나를 만나 그녀와 결혼하여라.
그리고 그 창녀에게서 자식을 낳아라.
이 나라 전체가 사창가가 되어 버렸기 때문이다. 나라 전체가나 하나님에게 부정을 저지른 창녀들의 소굴이 되어 버렸다."
호세아는 그렇게 했다. 그는 디블라임의 딸 고멜을 택했다. 고멜은임신하여 호세아의 아들을 낳았다. - P651

4-5 이스라엘 백성은 오랜 시간을안전과 보호 없이,
종교와 위로 없이.
경건과 기도 없이 살게 될 것이다.
그러나 때가 되면, 그들은 돌아올 것이다. 이 이스라엘 백성은그들의 하나님과 그들의 다윗 왕을찾아서 돌아올 것이다.
연단받은 그들이 돌아와서 하나님을 경외하며 살 것이다.

사흘째에는, 주께서 우리를 완전히 새롭게 해주실 것이다.
생기 넘치는 우리가 제 발로 서서,
그분의 얼굴을 마주 볼 수 있으리라.
우리가 하나님을 알자.
힘써 하나님을 알자. 
날마다 새벽이 어김없이 오듯,
그분께서도 날마다 어김없이 오신다.
땅을 새롭게 하는 봄비처럼,

Since an overseer manages God...

Since an overseer manages God‘s household,
he must be blameless-not overbearing,
not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent,
not pursuing dishonest gain.

11 They must be silenced, because they are disrupt-ing whole households by teaching things they oughtnot to teach-and that for the sake of dishonest gain.
12 One of Crete‘s own prophets has said it: "Cretans arealways liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons." 13 This saying istrue. Therefore rebuke them sharply, so that they will besound in the faith 14 and will pay no attention to Jewishmyths or to the merely human commands of those whoreject the truth. - P25

Paul writes a letter to his son in the faith, Titus, to remind him of why he lefthim in Crete. Titus is to appoint godly elders who are spiritually mature andshow it in the way they live out their faith and relate with their family.  - P25

Thosewho are ungodly are to be opposed and rebuked because their actions clearlydeny God. - P25

Paul begins his letter by introducing himself and addressing his younger friend and coworker Titus.  - P26

The purpose of Paul‘s letter is to provideTitus with pastoral counsel and guidance on how to organize and leadthe church in Crete.  - P26

To help Titus appoint church elders, Paul instructshim on the minimum standard for biblical eldership. These godly val-ues and patterns of behavior are essential in churchand elderspastorsbut are important for everyday believers, as well.  - P26

Let us all strive to behospitable, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined-loving whatis good and avoiding the sinful patterns of this world.  - P26

If we want an example of what this kind 
of life looks like, we need look no further thanJesus Christ, who is the ultimate model of God-honoring leadership. - P26

After Paul outlines his standard for church eldership, he describes theungodly disrupters who need to be silenced.  - P26

These people are falseteachers who are misleading entire households within the church. Fam-ilies are being deceived into living by manmade rules that run counterto the gospel.  - P26

In our churches today, there remain people who pose asChristians but believe things that have nothing to do with the Bible.
They try to earn their salvation by following rules.  - P26

But anyone who triesto save themselves with good works trusts in a false gospel. The Biblemakes clear that our salvation is by God‘s grace through faith in Jesus‘
work on the cross. Let us hold fast to the truth of the gospel. - P26

19세기 중반부터 적어도 에른스트 케제만(Ernst Käsemann)의 위대한 로마서 주석이 출간되기 전까지는바우르의 바울 기술이 계속해서 엄청난 영향력을 발휘했다. 이 사도는 계속해서 초기 ‘유대계 기독교와 모순을 보여 주는 상징으로 이해되었다. ‘유대계 기독교는 법적 · 언약적 개념을 고수했지만, 바울은 그런 개념을 폐기하거나 예수의 십자가를 중심으로 철저하게 재정의해야 한다고 믿었다. 그와동시에 바울은 승리주의식 ‘열광주의자들‘과 ‘종교‘의 형태로 후퇴하려는 지도자들도 막아내려고 했지만, 최선의 노력에도 결국 초기 가톨릭교회가 되고말았다. - P60

13-14 호되게 당한 블레셋 사람이 다시는 경계를 넘어오지 않았다. 사무엘이 살아 있는 동안에 하나님께서 블레셋을 엄히 다루셨다. 이스라엘은 전에 블레셋 사람이 빼앗아 간성읍, 곧 에그론에서 가드까지의 모든 성읍을 되찾았다. 그 주변 지역들도 블레셋의 지배에서해방시켰다. 이스라엘과 아모리 사람 사이에도 평화가 임했다.
15-17 사무엘은 살아 있는 동안 이스라엘에 든든한 지도력을 발휘했다. 그는 해마다 베델에서 길갈과 미스바로 순회하며 이스라엘을 돌아보았다. 그러나 항상 자기 거처인 라마로 돌아와 그곳에서 이스라엘을 다스렸다. 그는 거기서 하나님께 제단을 쌓았다. - P207
