In his dramatic encounter with Paul, King Agrippa asks him the question, "Do youthink that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?" (26:28).
This surprising reply demonstrates that the gospel always extends an invitation. - P19
Throughout Paul‘s missionary journeys, he is ever presenting that invitation tothose he encounters. Some respond with joy and commitment, while others reactwith anger and even violence. There is no neutral response: we are either for God oragainst Him. Our acceptance of the gospel invitation is not only for the purpose ofour salvation but also to pledge allegiance and obedience to the true King of kings. - P19

Paul‘s tribulations in Acts remind us that suffering forthe sake of Christ is a great privilege to be embraced and not avoided. - P19
After all, whenJesus died to save us, He also showed us how to take up our crosses and follow HimWe are therefore able to participate in the sufferings of Jesus with joy believing thatperseverance in the midst of trials brings glory to God. - P19
