Being saved by grace means thatGod saved us because He wanted to, not begrudgingly or simply outof a sense of duty. - P31

10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them asecond time. After that, have nothing to do with them. - P33
Titus is to remind the church to respect authorities. They too were once en-slaved by sin until God saved them through Jesus. - P33
Any foolish controversythat leads to quarrels is to be avoided, and divisive people should be warnedand disciplined. Paul asks Titus to join him as soon as he can. - P33

Paul closes his letter to Titus with a warning about people who causecontroversies and arguments over the law. - P34
He is primarily concernedwith preventing divisions within the church over unimportant matters.

He tells Titus to provide two initial warnings to the offender and thentreat them as an outsider if they continue to stir trouble. This is consis-tent with Jesus‘ teaching in Matthew 18:15-17. - P34
As the church consistsof people from diverse backgrounds, we can easily find things to argueover, be it politics, cultural norms, or different interpretations of Scrip-ture. - P34
But we should not let such disagreements divide us, as God hasunited us as one body in Jesus Christ. Let us always promote peace andunity among God‘s people. - P34
