Saul offers David his daughter Merab in marriage, but David refuses. Saul‘sdaughter Michal is in love with David, and Saul promises to give her to himfor the price of a hundred Philistine foreskins. - P33
David goes out and kills twohundred Philistines and brings back their foreskins. Saul becomes more afraidof David, but David‘s name becomes well known. - P33
Saul gives David two opportunities to marry into the royal family.

The rewards that the world offers may seem appealing in themoment, but they often end up costing us much more than they areworth. - P34
