The word "blessed" in this psalm can also be translated as "happy" or "fortunate." - P124
It is like someone saying, "You must be so happy that youhave been forgiven by the Lord!" All believers can share in the psalmist‘sjoy because Christ has completely lifted the heavy burden of our guiltfrom our shoulders, setting us free and giving us a deep sense of relief.

Let us remember that it is always better to confessour sin before God so that He can restore to us the joy and blessing ofbeing saved and forgiven. - P124
