<Go as a river> is a book about a girl-Victoria Nash-who grows up through tragedy.
There are many kinds of tragedy. Life‘s end, departing with something or someone precious, discrimination, war, and so on. Experiencing tragedy before she’s old enough to overcome it, Victoria slowly becomes a woman, though wounds would exist deep inside her heart.
As a teenage girl, and as a person who didn‘t experience big tragedy like Victoria, I couldn’t follow her psychology well. Thus, I felt sleepy sometimes while reading. What made me wake up again was the nature. Picturing Victoria‘s town and home in my mind seemed to heal my heart.
<Go as a river> has a slow and calm story. By the nature and a little warmth of some neighbors, this book let me heal with Victoria and grow up together.
