영혼이 따뜻해지기 위해 일 년에 한 번씩 봅시다. 캡틴 아메리카도 좋지만, 개인적으로 크리스 에반스 최고의 캐릭터. 아역도 완벽. 옆집 로버타도 찰떡. 그냥 배우분들 다 연기 쩔어.

죽은 천재 여동생의 딸, 즉 자기 조카를 데리고 사는 (세상에서-제일-섹시한-남자) 보트 수리사. 그 조카도 근데 천재다, 어쩌면 자기 엄마보다 더. 그런 조카를 최대한 행복하게 키우기 위해 노력하는 그(와 매력 넘치는 옆집 아주머님 로버타). 조카를 대하는 태평하고 쿨한 자세가 너무 좋다. 약간 슈퍼맨이 돌아왔다의 이종혁과 비슷한 느낌.

뭔가 모르게 이 영화를 보면 잘 살아 보고 싶어진다. 지친 마음이 조금은 어깨를 펴게 된다. 결국 우리 모두 잘 살고 싶어할 뿐이니까, 내가 소중하게 여기는 그 누군가한테 좋은 사람이 되고 싶으니까. 다만 그 누구도 완벽할 수 없기에, 우리는 인간이라는 결점이 있기에 확신할 수가 없다 - 과연 지금 잘 살고 있는 것인가. 그 불안을 안고 사는 것이 무거울지라도, 언제나 하루하루 우리에게 새로운 기회가 생긴다. 서로를 용서하고, 그저 최선을 다하고 있다고 기억하면 된다.
<Greys Anatomy, Season 2> Maybe we are not supposed to be happy. Maybe gratitude has nothing to do with joy. Maybe being grateful is recognizing what you have for what it is, appreciating the small victories, admiring the struggle it takes to simply be human. Maybe we are thankful for the familiar things we know and maybe we are thankful for the things we will never know. At the end of the day the fact is that we have the courage to still be standing is reason enough to celebrate.
어쩌면 우리는 행복하지 않아도 된다. 어쩌면 감사는 행복과 전혀 상관없는 것이다. 감사하는 것은 그저 내가 가진 것을 그대로 인지하고, 작은 승리들을 인정하고, 인간으로 살아가는 그 엄청난 투쟁에 감탄하는 것일지도 모른다. 우리가 아는 익숙한 것들에 감사하고, 우리가 절대 알지 못할 것들에 대해 감사하는 것일지도 모른다. 결국, 하루 끝에, 우리가 여전히 서 있을 용기가 있다는 사실 하나만으로도 축하받기 충분하다.

That‘s exactly how it was when you were born. (This happy?) This happy.
(그걸 지켜보는 프랭크와 메리) 네가 태어났을 때도 저랬어. (저렇게 행복해했어?) 저렇게 행복해했어.
- (Is there a God?) I don‘t know.
- (Just tell me).I would if I could. But I don‘t know. Neither does anybody else.
- (Roberta knows).No. Roberta has faith. And that‘s a great thing to have. But faith is about what you think, feel. Not what you know.
- (What about Jesus?) Love that guy. Do what he says. (But, is he God?) I don‘t know. I have an opinion. But that‘s my opinion and I could be wrong. So why would I screw up yours? Use your head. But don‘t be afraid to believe in things either.
- (There was a guy on TV who said there was no God).
- The only difference between the atheists on TV and Roberta is, Roberta loves you. She trying to help. Tell you what though. One way or another we all end up back together in the end. That‘s what you‘re asking, right? (Yep).
(I‘m so worried). Come on, Roberta. If you start crying, I will have to pretend to start crying.
(너무 걱정돼) 아, 로버타 그러지 마. 네가 울기 시작하면 나도 우는 척 해야 하잖아.
Never get on the bad side of small-minded people who have a little authority. I thought I told you that.
아주 조금일지라도 권한을 가진 무식한 사람들과 절대로 적이 되어서는 안돼. 내가 너한테 이 말을 했었을 텐데.
- Mary, I understand you like mathematics. So, on there, you‘ll find a great out-of-print book by Charles Zimmer called "Transitions in Advanced Algebra."
- Yeah. Love that book.
- You‘re saying you‘ve read it?
- Yeah, I‘ve kind of moved on to differential equations now.
