52When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, "Yesterday, at one in the afternoon, the fever left him."

53Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live." So he and his whole household believed.

54This was the second sign Jesus performed after coming from Judea to Galilee.

- P79

There is no hierarchy, no special privilege among us in matters of life and death. In times like these, we are all beggars without hope apart from God’s mercy. - P80

Our faith rests upon the person of Christ and not on what He does or does not do in our lives and world. - P80

28Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people,

29"Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?"

- P74

40So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days.

41And because of his words many more became believers.

42They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world."

- P75

The woman shares her experience with the towns-people, inviting them to meet Jesus. Many believe in Him because of hertestimony, and upon hearing Him, they declare Him the Savior of the world. - P75

Jesus finds His deepest satisfaction in doing the will of the Father, even more than in eating literal food. This passage reveals the disciples’ need to realign their spiritual perspective with Jesus’. - P76

It is possible to be engaged in ministry and still miss what God is doing. We must continually pray for spiritual eyes to see things as God does. - P76

The Samaritan woman’s life is transformed after her encounter with Jesus, and she cannot keep it to herself. She becomes a witness to her entire neighborhood, telling them about Jesus Christ.  - P76

As we faithfully testify to what God has done in our lives, we can see His work multiply.
- P76

Prayer, Scripture reading, and gathering with fellow believers teach us tolearn and practice what is included in God‘s will for us: loving Him and loving others.  - P77

Our decision to love God and love others is of great importanceto the Lord. Therefore, it is important that we seek to better understandGod‘s heart by reading the Bible, praying, and fellowshipping with others.
Doing these things strengthens us to further understand who God is, acknowledge His presence in our lives, and deepen our trust in Him. - P77

Although such practices do not save us, they help us to live out God‘s will.
They remind us that Jesus is the ultimate sustainer of our lives. As He declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty" (John 6:35).  - P77

Just as we rely on food and drink to sustain our physical bodies, we depend on Jesus Himself to sustain our entire well-being. - P77

. I want to actively share Your work in my life with others. Give me opportunities to do so and the right words to speak. In Jesus’ name, amen. - P77

25The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."

26Then Jesus declared, "I, the one speaking to you—I am he."

We all need the Holy Spirittransformation in Christ.
to convict us and lead us to transformation in Christ. - P72

13Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,

14but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

Satisfy my soul with Your presence, and lead me to trust in You alone. - P66

We need to know who Jesus is and receive the gift of salvation found in Him alone. The things of this world may bring temporary satisfaction, but only Jesus can truly satisfy. - P66
