[오늘의 한문장] 다윗의 숨겨진 전설

다윗 무리는 사무엘의 죽음 이후 더 무서워진 사울의 추격을 피해 광야를도망 다니느라 많이 배고프고 지쳐 있었다. 그런데 마침 유목민들의 축제인양털 깎는 날이라고 하니 가장 부유한 나발의 집에 식량 도움을 정중히 청한 것이다. 8절에 보면 다윗은 "네 아들 다윗에게 주기를 원하노라"라고 말하며 나발을 아버지의 위치로 높이고 자신은 한없이 낮춘다. 아무리 나발이실제로 나이가 많다고는 하나, 이스라엘 전군을 호령하던 장군 다윗으로서는 부하들을 먹여 살리기 위해 자존심을 다 버리고 겸손히 요청한 것이다. - P90

[오늘의 한문장] 하나님의 시선

하나님과의 지속적인 교제를 위해서는 지속적으로 듣는 훈련이 필요합니다. 일단 듣고 순종하면 더 깊은 영적 교제의 단계로 들어갑니다. 듣고 순종하는 것이 반복되면서 우리는 지속적으로 영적 성장을 경험합니다.  - P59

그런데 그 말씀이 들리지 않는 이유는 무엇일까요? "하나님의 음성을 안 들으려고 하기보다는 나의 마음이 다른 곳에 빼앗겨 있는 것입니다. 따라서 하나님께서 원하는 바를 말씀하시더라도 우리는 세상의 일들과 봉사 활동 및 자기 확신등에 사로잡혀 그분의 음성을 듣지 못합니다."  - P59

 하나님 앞에 늘 헌신되어 있지 않으면, 우리는 자기가 중요하게생각하는 것들에 마음이 사로잡혀 하나님의 음성을 듣지 못합니다.
 우리의 신념과 계산을 내려놓고 단순한 마음으로 하나님의 음성을 구할 때, 그분의 음성을듣습니다. - P59

Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead.

With the help of the Holy Spirit, our words and actions can reflect the love and character of Jesus and inspire hearts to turn toward Him. - P74

Just like Mary, we are able to glorify Jesus in our acts of service. We can participate in building up His kingdom and fulfilling the plan of God. May we do so with the same kind of devotion and zeal that Mary had in honoring Christ. - P74

Because of the resurrection of Lazarus, many people believe in Jesus. They see Him as a miracle worker, but the religious leaders view Lazarus and Jesus as threats to their power. - P74

Today, let us recognize the beauty and worth of Jesus. Instead of being distractedby shopping or entertainment, let us focus and pour out our worship at the feet ofJesus, declaring that He is worthy of the best that we can bring. - P75

 "우리는 주의 종의 음성은 듣고 싶어 하지만 하나님의 음성은 거부합니다. 하나님께서 말씀하시면 그 말씀에 순종하든지 불순종하든지 양자택일을 해야 하기 때문입니다."  - P58
