12"‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work. Celebrate a festival to the Lord for seven days.
13Present as an aroma pleasing to the Lord a food offering consisting of a burnt offering of thirteen young bulls, two rams and fourteen male lambs a year old, all without defect.
14With each of the thirteen bulls offer a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with oil; with each of the two rams, two-tenths;
15and with each of the fourteen lambs, one-tenth

The length of the celebration, call for sacred assembly, refraining from regular work, and the many offerings prescribed show the importance of the Festival of Tabernacles. - P144
During each day of the festival, the Israelites present a series of offerings to God as they remember how He protected and provided for them during their wanderings in the wilderness after their deliverance from Egypt. - P144
When we are in a season of wilderness, we can recall how God has been faithful to us in the past. - P144
Remembering His goodness fuels our faith for the present and future. Since the Lord has indeed been faithful to us, we seek to be faithful to Him by offering up our time, talents, and treasures for His kingdom. - P144
The Festival of Tabernacles takes place at the end of the agricultural year (around October in our modern calendar), and it is fitting for the Israelites to do no regular work as they celebrate their autumn harvest. - P144
On the final day, they hold a special closing assembly and honor the Lord with their offerings. The festival helps them to not only remember what God did for them in the past but also celebrate how God is providing in the present. - P144
Whenever we discover and receive blessing and provision, our immediate reaction should be to praise the Lord with our hearts and lips. - P144
When we do so, we are further reminded that all blessings flow from our God who protects us and cares for us. - P144
