25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." - P74

31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. - P75

The one who comes to Jesus wanting to understand the truth will find that He will reveal Himself. - P76
The words and stories recorded in Scripture inspire us to believe that Jesus truly is the long-awaited Messiah and the Son of God, and with this faith, we acquire eternal life in His name. - P76
The gospel accounts enable us to know who Jesus is and what He has done. They not only prompt faith but breathe life into our souls. We have hope that all of God’s promises are true as Scripture points us toward the path of life. - P76
Yet, there is a foundational miracle that all of Christianity rests upon. If thisone miracle were not true, then our faith would be worthless. This miracleis the resurrection. "If Christ has not been raised," Paul writes, "your faithis futile; you are still in your sins" (1 Cor. 15:17). - P77
The cross has always been a stumbling block for some and foolishness for others, but it is the power of God for all who believe. - P77
