There is a purpose to the meaninglessness. God created us with anache for meaning and placed us in a universe where everything ismeaningless so we would understand that the meaning we long foris found in Him alone. - P61

The Teacher was king over Israel and applied his mind to study all that is doneunder the heavens. He has seen that everything is meaningless, a chasingafter the wind. - P63
He increased in wisdom more than anyone who has ruled overJerusalem and applied himself to the understanding of wisdom, madness, andfolly. - P63
But he learned that with more knowledge comes more grief. - P63
We live in a time when knowledge and information abound like neverbefore. - P64
At our fingertips and at any moment, we have access to virtuallyanything we want to know, and more of what used to be unknown isbeing discovered every day. - P64
Living in the information age certainly hasits benefits, but as the Teacher realized through his years of learning, theworldly pursuit of knowledge and wisdom cannot bring true satisfaction. - P64
In fact, knowledge can even become a burden as we discover allthat is evil and lacking in this world. - P64
Scientific investigation and philosophical contemplation will only get us so far. The insights they offerdo not even come close to the spiritual truth found only in God‘s Word. - P64
