Our personal experiences of God‘s work havelasting impact on our lives because they produce humility in us andteach us that praising God is not based on how good we feel but on howgood He is. - P134
Our testimony of faith is the story of how God deliveredus,
but we must also remember that the main character ofour story is God Himself. - P134
There is one question people often raise in objection to God‘s goodness:how can an all-powerful God be truly good and loving yet allow evil?

This is a difficult question to answer, and the psalmist does not denythat he has had his share of troubles. But it is out of his experience ofsuffering and of God meeting him in his trials that he is able to testifyto God‘s goodness. - P134
God does not guarantee an abundance of materialwealth or the absence of painful circumstances. - P134
Rather, we taste Hisgoodness through His care and presence. - P134
Amid our difficulties, Godsatisfies our souls and becomes our refuge. - P134
And when we have tastedHis presence, we will realize that He is, indeed, infinitely good. - P134
Dear Father, may I never forget Your goodness which You ultimately displayedin Jesus Christ. - P134
May my lips be full of praise to You and my life display humilitybefore You. - P134
