When they ask for Rebekah‘s opinion, she says that she will go with the ser-vant. When Isaac meets Rebekah, he brings her into the tent of his motherand marries her. - P99
Sometimes, the minor characters of a story make the biggest impact. - P100
Most Christians are probably familiar with the names Abraham, Isaac, and Rebekah, but many have forgotten Abraham‘s nameless servant who plays a pivotal role in this part of the biblical narrative. - P100
He faithfully embarks on his mission and refuses to be deterred until it is complete! - P100
Through his obedience, Abraham‘s family will continue to grow and take hold of God‘s promise. - P100
Although we may not receive the recogni-tion we want from the world, God has chosen each one of us to be His servant. - P100
Let us therefore embrace whatever part He has called us to play for His glory. - P100
May God use us powerfully as we make ourselves available to Him and His kingdom. - P100
The story of Isaac and Rebekah‘s union seems like a scene straight froma movie but if you think about it, the idea of two complete strangers marrying as soon as they meet each other is hardly romantic. - P100
And yet, the Bible specifically notes that Isaac loved his wife. - P100
Here, we find an important truth about the reality of marriage: while romance, attraction, and compatibility all have a part to play, ultimately, marriage is a choice to love the person God has chosen for you. - P100
No marriage is perfect because no person is perfect. - P100
But if we view marriage as a calling to love our spouse despite their flaws and failings, it becomes a beautiful opportunity to experience the grace and glory of God. - P100
Heavenly Father, thank you for working out Your will for my life through everycircumstance. - P100
Help me to be a faithful servant in whatever role You have called me, and may my greatest desire be to honor and glorify You in every area of mylife. In Jesus‘ name, amen. - P100
