While it ispossible to understand the Bible intellectually as an ancient text or partof a nation‘s history, spiritual truth can only be uncovered through thework of the Holy Spirit, who graciously opens our eyes to the gospel.

If we hear a claim of revelation from a popular preacher,
church member, or even an entire denomination, we must test theirwords against the words of Scripture. We must ascertain whether ateaching or idea aligns with what the Bible says before we allow it tohave any influence upon our lives. May the Bible be the foundationand guiding principle for everything we believe, value, and do.
