다음 학기 연세대학교 철학과 대학원에서 스피노자의 [신학정치론] 강의를 하기로 했습니다.
지난 학기에는 주로 스피노자의 정서 이론에 관해 강의를 했는데, 이번 학기에는 [신학정치론]을 주제로
택했습니다. [신학정치론]은 최근 스피노자 연구에서 주목을 많이 받고 있는데, 당연히 그럴 만한 텍스트입니다.
사실 앞으로 수많은 연구 대상이 될 만한, 무궁무진한 주제를 담고 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 만큼
아주 중요하고 흥미로운 텍스트가 [신학정치론]입니다. 아직 믿을 만한 우리말 번역본은 없다고 할 수 있는데,
앞으로 좋은 번역이 나와서 국내에서도 [신학정치론]에 대한 연구가 활발해지기를 기대해봅니다.

I. 강의 주제
스피노자의 신학정치론 연구
II. 강의 목표
이번 학기 강의에서는 스피노자의 신학정치론을 함께 공부할 계획이다. 신학정치론은 윤리학, 정치론과 더불어 스피노자 성숙기 사상을 대표하는 3권의 주요 저작 중 한 권이다. 특히 신학정치론은 성서에 대한 역사비평의 선구적인 저작이며, 철학과 신학의 관계에 대한 새로운 관점, 민주주의에 대한 열정적인 옹호, 토마스 홉스의 사회계약론에 대한 변용과 히브리 신정에 대한 재해석 등과 같은 흥미로운 철학적 주제를 담고 있는 주요 저작이다. 윤리학이 워낙 중요한 저작이어서 그동안 스피노자 연구에서 신학정치론은 소홀하게 취급되어 왔으나, 최근 서양 학계에서 이 책의 중요성이 새롭게 조명되면서 많은 연구의 대상이 되고 있다. 이번 강의에서는 신학정치론의 텍스트를 읽어나가면서 이 책에서 제기되는 다음과 같은 주제를 검토해볼 계획이다.

IV. 강의 운영 방식
1. 이 강의에서는 처음 2주 동안 강사가 수업과 관련된 일반 개요를 강의하고, 나머지 시간 동안은 수강생들의 발제와 토론을 중심으로 수업을 진행한다.
2. 수강생들은 1번 이상 발제를 해야 하며, 토론에 적극적으로 참여해야 한다.
3. 수업 발제 이외에 3번에 걸쳐 미니페이퍼 과제를 제시할 것이다. 미니페이퍼는 A4 1장 분량으로, 강사가 제시한 주제에 대한 수강생들의 견해를 제시하면 된다.
4. 기말 페이퍼는 종강 1달 전에 공지가 될 것이며, A4 5장 이내로 작성해서 제출하면 된다.
5. 미니페이퍼와 기말페이퍼는 이메일로 제출하기 바란다.
성적 평가 방법:
