너무도 많은 그리스도인이 이런 거짓말에 넘어간다. 그래서 이 기회에 분명히 말하지만 유혹을 받는 것 자체는 죄가 아니다. 물론 유혹에 넘어가서 행동하는 것은 죄다. 하지만 유혹을 받는 것은 죄가 아니다. 그것은 당신이 인간이라는 증거다.
모든 사람이 유혹을 받는다. 예수님을 따른다고 해서 유혹이 전혀 없는 삶이 보장되지는 않는다. 예수님을 따르는 삶은 유혹을 상대로 전쟁을선포하는 것이다. - P35

죄는 만족을 약속하지만 결국에는 우리가 가장 원하는 것을 앗아간다. 왜일까? 우리는 죄를 지을 때마다 하나님의 최선을 놓치기 때문이다.
