Pat and Mike went into the fancy restaurant and ordered the deluxe dinner.
Then Mike haughtily called for the manager.
"There's a fly in my soup," he said angrily to the man.
"This is terrible.
I never expected such a thing to happen in this place of all places."
"Shh!" pleaded the manager. "Not so loud. These things can happen.
Won't you gentlemen have dinner on the house?"
After dinner the two men left and Mike pointed to an ice cream store
across the street.
"Could you go for an icecream?" he asked Pat. "I've got one more fly left."
팻과 마이크는 일류 식당에 가서 호화판 식사를 주문했다.
그리고는 마이크가 화난 목소리로 지배인을 불렀다.
"이보셔! 스프에 파리가 들어있으니 이런 끔찍한 일이 어디 있어요.
딴 데 같으면 몰라도 이런 식당에서 어떻게 이런 일이 있을 수 있어요"라고 했다.
그러자 지배인은 "좀 조용히 해 주세요" 라고 애원을 했다.
"이런 일이 가끔 있게 마련입니다. 대신 손님들의 요금은 받지 않겠습니다."
식사를 마치고 나오면서 마이크는 길 건너편 아이스크림가게를 가리키며 말했다.
"디저트로 아이스크림 생각 있어？ 파리가 아직 한 마리 더 남아있거든."
