The big boss needed a new secretary, so he asked the young ladies in
the typing pool to list their qualifications.
One girl wrote, "I type 70 words per minute and am always on time."
Another girl claimed, "I dictate sorthand at 120 words per minute and
I absolutely never goof off."
But the third steno, the one who got the job, answered simply, "I can
recognize your wife by the sound of her footsteps."
