영어로 Set your watch one hour back.
여기서 말하는 ‘시계‘ 는 watch 즉 ‘손목 시계‘ 일 겁니다. ‘한 시간 뒤‘ 는 여기서 말하는one hour back이지요. ‘시간을 맞춘다‘라고 말할 때는 set이라는 동사를 사용합니다.
따라서 "시계를 한 시간 뒤로 맞춰 주세요."는 "Set your watch one hour back" 입니다.
아마 기내에서 "현지 시각은 오전 10시 50분입니다. 이 곳과 서울의 시차는 열 네 시간입니다."와 같은 말들을 들어 보았을 겁니다. ‘현지 시각‘은 영어로 local time, ‘시차‘는time different 이지요. 위와 같은 말을 영어로는 "The local time is 10:50 a.m. Thetime difference between here and Seoul is fourteen hours." 라고 합니다. 참고로, "내시계는 한 시간 느려요."는 "My watch is an hour slow." 또는 "My watch is slow byan hour."라고 하지요.
